摘要 PURPOSE: A fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device is provided to align branches of counter and pixel electrodes longitudinally for reducing a light transmission disturbing areas by 1/3 to improve the light transmissivity and form electrode structure symmetrically in the vertical direction for preventing the color shift. CONSTITUTION: A fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device includes gate and common lines(100,120) disposed in parallel with a predetermined distance, folded light shield(260) extended longitudinally from both ends of the common lines, data lines disposed perpendicularly to the gate and common lines straightly or, common electrodes(160) respectively formed of a traverse body part(160a) and one or more folded branches(160b) extended longitudinally, pixel electrodes(180) respectively formed of a body part(180b) and two or more folded branches(180a), wherein the folded branches of the counter electrodes and the pixel electrodes are disposed alternately.
