Dust produced is contained statically and dynamically, as closely as possible to the working and driving grindstones (10, 20). Virtually all dust produced is driven towards the base of the working grindstone (10), and confined at the edges of the two grindstones, in a gaseous flow. This is induced by rotation of the working grindstone and by forced suction. Virtually all dust generated, confined and driven in this way is removed by forced extraction.
