PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to add auditory information, i.e., a voice when a user provides various information through a Web site, homepages, etc., by establishing a voice library for providing voice data of a narration, etc., on a communication network. SOLUTION: A server for the voice library is equipped with a database which stores files of voice data of various documents and sends a list of voice data which can be provided to a user terminal through the network. A request to obtain desired voice data is received from the user through the network, and the file of the voice data that the user desires is read out of the database and provided for the user on-line or off-line. Voice samples of various voice quality are prepared in the voice library and the user listens to them through the network and selects desired voice quality, so that voice data can be generated even with a custom-made document. |
