PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device which adds a blank space to picture data of a document to send it in a fixed size. SOLUTION: When a document of a fixed size is read with an ADF 42 and picture data of the read document is enlarged or reduced and is transferred to a personal computer 2 of the transfer destination, a blank space is added to picture data after enlargement/reduction on the basis of setting of layout from a set key 66, and the picture data are transferred in the fixed size. Consequently, a blank space is added to the picture data of the document to send it in the fixed size. As a result, it is made unnecessary to convert picture data to the fixed size in the personal computer of 2 the transfer destination, contrary to a conventional method.
