PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic telephone directory that displays an optimum telephone number in response to the current time for calling. SOLUTION: The telephone set is provided with a storage means 11 that stores each of electronic telephone directory data including name information of an access destination, telephone number information and operating time zone information denoting the time zone highly possible for transmission probability and a current time acquisition device 15 that acquires clock information denoting a current time so as to retrieve name information of an access destination of electronic telephone directory data having the operating time zone information matching the acquired clock information and the telephone number of the access destination with priority when entry to display the telephone number on a display device 13 is made to display them. Or the phone is provided with a storage device 11 that has a plurality of storage areas, registers electronic telephone directory data to any of the storage areas according to a degree of higher possibility of transmission denoted by the clock information, and displays the name information and the telephone number of the access destination with priority from the electronic telephone directory data stored in the storage area registering a group of the data with high transmission possibility.
