PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a structured document without dividing it and to give a search result while adding indexes for speedy structured document search. SOLUTION: A structured document storage/search device 100 comprises a document receiver 101 that receives a structured document file; a storage device 104 that stores the received structured document file without processing; an indexing/storage processor 103 that interprets a special-tag-delimited character string in the received structured document file into a predetermined data type and establishes a link between the interpreted data type and the storage location of the structured document file stored in the storage device 104; an inquiry receiver 105 that receives a search condition; and an inquiry processor 106 that searches for a structured document based on the received search condition and the link established by the indexing/storage processor 103.
