PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel type of actuator which amplifies and outputs vibration in a diaphragm as in-plane vibration. SOLUTION: In order to provide the actuator a watch and an informing device using the actuator, displacement at a movable end of the diaphragm is amplified and outputted as in-plane vibration, and thus the size and weight of equipment mounted therewith can be reduced. The actuator (10) is designed as follows: when a voltage is applied to a piezoelectric element (219 formed on the diaphragm (12), the diaphragm (12) is bent and vibrated in out-of-plane direction, and one end (125) thereof repeats as a movable end displacement in in-plane direction. The displacement is transferred to a lever (32) whose base (321) is coupled with the end (125) of the diaphragm (12) and an elastically deformable narrow part (31), and the free end (322) of the lever (32) vibrates in in-plane direction and thereby drives a driven member (500). |
