PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the quality of an image high without increasing the processing time needed to alter a look-up table. SOLUTION: A color signal adjustment pre-stage part is equipped with a signal conversion part which outputs a color image signal of high-order (q) bits (q: integer of 1 to (p-1)) when a color image signal of (p) bits (p: integer of >=1) is inputted, a 1st look-up table which has information showing the correspondence relation between the gradation value that the color image signal of high-order q bits shows and a gradation value of (r) bits set according to 1st adjustment information and outputs a 1st reference signal of (r) bits representing a gradation value below the gradation value corresponding to the (p)-bit color image signal and a 2nd reference signal of (r) bits representing a gradation value above the 1st reference signal when the color image signal of high-order (q) bits is inputted from the signal conversion part, and an interpolation part which interpolates and generates an (r)-bit pre-stage adjustment color image signal corresponding to the (p)-bit color image signal according to the 1st reference signal and 2nd reference signal. |
