PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict viewing and recording of data or the like whose copyright is protected by equipment having bus bridging function. SOLUTION: Data reception equipment receiving data from a bus uses a changeover means, placed between an interface means for communication with other devices on the bus and a reception data utilizing means, such as a display section for utilizing received data to select connection/non-connection between both the means, thereby limiting the use of the received data from the bus by the received data utilizing means.
