PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert YC data obtained by picking up an image of a subject into bit map image data. SOLUTION: The YC data are obtained by picking the image of the subject by using an image pickup device 1. The YC data are recorded in an SDRAM 4. The YC data are read out of the SDRAM 4 and converted into the bit map image data in a table RAM 13. The obtained bit map image data are recorded in the SDRAM 4. The subject image which is picked up can be converted into the data representing the bit map image to be superposed on the subject image.
