PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep high focusing performance with low deflection power in a single electron beam projection-type cathode-ray tube which is used for a projection TV or a projector and operates at a high voltage and a high current. SOLUTION: The outer diameter of a neck portion for mounting a deflection yoke thereon is smaller than the outer diameter of the neck part for housing an electron gun, and the maximum anode voltage of the projection type cathode- ray tube is set to be not less than 25 kV, and the maximum beam current is set to be not less than 4 mA.
