PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal device for controlling a luminaire for emergency with flashing light and sound by outputting a signal of an applied voltage in a normal condition and outputting a signal of no voltage in an emergency, capable of preventing malfunction of flashing light and sound even when a time when a commercial power source is being turned off at the time of maintenance by having a function for temporarily waiting flashing light and sound operation collectively at one place. SOLUTION: Because the luminaire for emergency 1 with flashing light and sound is provided with an output terminal 14 for outputting a wait signal, a user needs only to operate the output terminal 14 so that the flashing light and sound operation can be temporarily waited by giving the wait signal to a terminal 5 for stopping operation 5 for stopping the operation of the luminaire for emergency 1. Therefore, the malfunction of the flashing light and sound can be prevented even when the time when the commercial power is being turned off becomes long without removing each storage battery 7 of a signal device 3 at the time of maintenance.
