PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for image processing which can read not only color image on one pixel, but also information regarding the size of texture at the same time, performs MIPMAP processing fast, and can obtain a sharp image when pixel data are read out of a color palette with color array information by storing information of pieces of pixel data in the color palette with color array information corresponding to color palette address signals with color array information. SOLUTION: The original image in Fig. 3 (a) is divided into tiles 31 to 38, etc., and the same color array parameter with the color array of the tiles is extracted by referring to a color array table shown in (c). An original image correspondence CG memory (b), the color (e) palette with the color array information, and a plotting CG memory (f) are generated from color information of the tiles and the color array parameters and pixel data of a plurality of pixels are read out at the same time to perform plotting processing at a high speed. |
