PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original image reader in which it is not always necessary to designate a password corresponding to memory boxes in the case of storing an original image read by an original read section to the memory boxes. SOLUTION: In the case of storing a read image to one of the respective memory boxes 40A to 40N at a prescribed time, a user sets whether or not entry of a password corresponding to the memory boxes 40A to 40N is necessary.
