PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination structure for an illuminated key capable of preventing leakage of light. SOLUTION: This illumination structure 80 for the illuminated key 4 is provided with a board 1, a light emitting diode 5 provided on the board 1 and the illumination key 4 which is provided on an upper side of the board 1 and has a part for transmitting light emitted from the light emitting diode 5. The illumination key 4 includes a base film 40 including a display region 50 for displaying character information and an extended region 60 extended almost just above the light emitting diode 5 and a light shielding layer 51 which is formed in a part of the display region 50 of the base film 40 and the extended region 60 and shades the light emitted from the light emitting diode 5.
