PURPOSE: A device for locking a gas valve using a telephone bell signal is provided to count the telephone bell signal when a user calls home and lock the gas valve. CONSTITUTION: A power unit(4) receives a power, drops an AC voltage in a transformer(4a), performs a full wave rectification in a rectifier(4b), and charges the rectified voltage in a battery(4c) for supplying a network power. A signal processing unit(5) compares a counted value with a value set in a DIP(Dual Inline Package) switch(5g). If the counted value is greater than the value set in the DIP switch(5g), the signal processing unit(5) generates a start signal for driving a motor(6b). If the counted value is less than the value set in the DIP switch(5g), the signal processing unit(5) initializes the number of a telephone bell signal stored in a counter(5f). A driving unit(6) receives the start signal from the signal processing unit(5), drives the motor(6b), and locks a valve(7).
