PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel, having superior characteristics of discharging by removing residual impurities in the panel, and to provide a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: Discharging among display electrodes is generated during aging, in a manufacturing process of the panel letting atmospheric pressure discharge gas flow. At this time, the discharge gas flow rate through the panel is set to at least 1CCM (1×10<-6> m<3> /min) per 1 cm<3> volume of discharge space which is surrounded by a front plate and a rear plate.
