PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage pulse power source circuit which can apply a high voltage pulse to a load of a magnetron or a klystron for a short time, and protect the load by stopping the voltage application on the instant before the application time exceeds an allowable range. SOLUTION: The high voltage pulse power source circuit is equipped with a high voltage DC power source 1, a main circuit switching module 7 which performs switching so as to discharge the charge of a capacitor in a short time, a trigger circuit for inputting a trigger signal 4 in the module 7, a current detector 12 for detecting a discharge current, a protective switching module 10 which makes the discharge current flow bypassing a load 6 with a protective signal, and a protective switching module driving substrate 14 which outputs the protective signal. When a current flows in the load for at least a specified time, charge stored in a capacitor of the high voltage DC power source is discharged on the instant through the module 10.
