PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for multiple dwelling house, which can form a speech path through a common IP network independently of the number of houses, simplifies and facilitates wiring, eliminates the need for control configuration such as line switching consequently reducing the cost. SOLUTION: A house information panel 3 and door-phones 4, etc., installed in each house 2 are connected to an IP network 1 installed in a multiple dwelling house. A lobby interphone unit 5 installed at an entrance of the multiple dwelling house, a caretaker unit 6 installed in a caretaker's room, a video adaptor 8 that transmits video signals of monitor TV cameras 7, etc., to the IP network 1, a monitor/speech unit 9 that monitors the inside of an elevator and makes a speech from inside the elevator, a fixedly installed voice device 15 in a common section are respectively connected to the IP network 1. A local IP address is provided to each device connected to the IP network 1 and the VoIP is used for transmission of voice data of the speech system.
