PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set provided with a facsimile function, that eliminates the need for a preliminary setting such as registration of abbreviation and utilizes a call transmission history so as to simply dial FAX and phone calls to a destination. SOLUTION: In the case of faxing and automatic dialing, after a dial number is entered (S3), a start key is operated, the line is connected (S4, S5). In the case of manual dialing, after a handset is hooked off and a dial number is entered, the start key is operated (S6-S8), a CNG signal is sent to the destination (S9), when the destination transmits a CED signal after that (YES in S10), the dialed destination number is extracted as a FAX number and stored in a FAX transmission history storage section (S11). When no CED signal is received, after the line is disconnected through the communication error processing (S15, S16), a telephone number transmission history storage section stores the destination telephone number as the telephone number) (S17).
