PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting system for transmitting information which complements a ground wave analog broadcasting program, using the data area of digital broadcasting, and synchronizing the complementary information and ground wave analog broadcasting. SOLUTION: In this digital broadcasting transmitter, information related to an analog broadcasting program is transmitted by digital data broadcasting in a digital broadcasting or analog broadcasting program; and reference information for synchronizing information related thereto are transmitted by digital data broadcasting and the receiver simultaneously receives digital data broadcasting and analog broadcasting, selects the reference information for synchronizing the information related to the analog broadcasting program from among the analog broadcasting program and digital data broadcasting, stores the information on a prescribed medium, prepares and suitably displays the storage medium.
