PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor unit of a direct-current brush motor, which can accomplish miniaturization of a coil and has the coil in which a wire is lap- wound over a plurality of teeth of a core, and a method for winding the coil. SOLUTION: The coil is manufactured by forming a plurality of lap-wound parts of the wire 1 in a circumferential direction in sequence. The lap-wound parts start from a hook 11a (the first joint) which is formed in one element (a) of a commutator 9, are introduced between the teeth A and L (between the first teeth) having the same phase as the hook 11a, have a part lap-wound over the three teeth A, B and C, are introduced from a part between the teeth A and B (between the second teeth), corresponding to a part between the teeth adjacent to a part between the teeth A and L, and terminate in a hook 11b (the second joint) formed in an element (b) having the same phase as the part between the teeth A and B.
