PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently avoid the deterioration in the error rate due to the nonlinear characteristic of a recording/reproducing system, by applying for a reproducing apparatus, for example, a compact disk(CD), a digital video disk(DVD), and so forth. SOLUTION: An impulse response wave form signal SH, in which a signal level rises by a prescribed wave form at the timing EP of the edge detected by performing a signal-processing of a reproduction signal ES, is generated, and is calculated with the reproduction signal ES, or a secondary deformation signal SH, which is an estimation of a secondary deformation component, is generated, and is calculated with the reproduction signal ES.
