PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lens device to perform most appropriate shake correction control at all times, even if a device or a digital camera body, having image pickup devices with different pitches of picture elements, is used in combination. SOLUTION: The lens device has a shake correction optical system for correcting shakes, a drive means for driving the shake correction optical system, a shake-detecting means for detecting shakes, a signal generating means for generating specified signals for driving the shake correction optical system which are different from shake-detection signals detected by the shake-detecting means and a shake correction control means for generating drive signals for the shake correction optical system, by composing the shake-detection signals and the specified signals and making the drive means drive the shake correction optical system for performing the shake correction by the drive signals. It receives information concerning the pixels pitches of the imaging device, determines the amplitude value of the specified signals, according to the information concerning the pixel pitches and generates the drive signals by combining the determined specified signals and the shake-detection signals (#5005-#5007). |
