PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a core at the joint of the flange part and the core by enhancing bonding strength of coating resin and the core. SOLUTION: The inductor comprises a core 1 having flange parts 7 formed at the opposite ends of a core 5, a winding 2 wound around the core 5, an electrode 4 provided at the flange part 7 and connected with the terminal 2A of the winding 2, and coating resin 3 covering the winding 2 on the outer circumferential side. The flange parts 7 are formed at the opposite ends of the core 5 through step parts 6, respectively, the coating resin 3 covers the winding 2 wound between the step parts 6 and the step parts 6 on the outer circumferential side thereof, and the coating resin 3 adheres to the inner side face of the flange part 7 and the outer circumferential surface of the step part 6.
