PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candle stand inexpensively, simply displaying a specified or a free phrase or a picture as an message to enhance the entertainment effect by lighting a candle in celebration of a memorial day such as a birthday. SOLUTION: A card 5 on which a specified phrase is written or card 5 on which a phrase or a picture is freely written is inserted between a message display upper part 3 and a message display lower part 4, the message display lower part 4 is lift up, and a hook 6 is hooked on the upper end of a candle 2. A decoration plate 7 hides the message display upper part 3, the message display lower part 4, and the hook 6. When the candle 2 is lit, after a constant time, the candle 2 melts, the hook 6 is unhooked, the self weigh of the message display lower part 4 and the elastic repulsive force of the card 5 act to around a hinge 8, the message display lower part 4 falls down, and the card 5 on which the phrase or the picture is written is displayed as a message.
