PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system which is capable of rapidly acquiring a plurality of identification information from respective disk reproducing apparatuses. SOLUTION: A personal computer supplies the clamp request of a disk number (n) to the master apparatus (step S31) and, in parallel, and supplies the clamp request of a disk number (m) to the slave apparatus (step S32). The personal computer outputs the TOC information request code of the disk number (n) to the master apparatus with which the reading of the TOC information ends (step S33) and stores the acquired TOC information in a memory, etc., in response therewith (step S34). The personal computer supplies the TOC information request code of the disk number (m) to the slave apparatus with which the reading of the TOC information ends (step S35) and stores the acquired TOC information into a memory, etc., in response therewith (step S36).
