PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably output white light which has very small color drift from an open part over a long period. SOLUTION: A blue light emission chip 14 is arranged inside a case 16 which has the open part 22, and a reflection scattering member 18 is formed at the open part 22. A blue light H1, which his emitted by the blue light emission chip 14 and travels in a straight line to the open part 22 is reflected by the reflection scattering member 18 and is not outputted directly from the open part 22. A part of the blue light H1, emitted by the blue light emission chip 14, is reflected by a phosphor film 20 formed on the internal surface of the case 16 and the surface of the reflection scattering member 18, and other part of the blue light H1 is absorbed by the phosphor film 20 and has its wavelength converted into yellowish green light and is emitted. These blue light and yellowish green light are combined and becomes a white light H3, which passes through gaps S1 to S5 of the reflection scattering member 18 and is outputted from the open part 22. |
