PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element driving method capable of avoiding the increase of a load even when a battery voltage is lowered by controlling output voltage so that when the supply voltage of a battery power source becomes low, a boosted output becomes low, too. SOLUTION: This light emitting element driving controller is a controller for driving the lighting of a plurality of light emitting elements having luminous colors which are mutually different respectively and it is provided with a first boosting function part which maintains the output voltage for driving the lighting of the plurality of the light emitting elements constantly by changing a boosting ability in accordance with the fluctuation of the supply voltage of the battery power source and a second boosting function part which, when the supply voltage of the power source is compared with a first reference voltage and it is lower than the first reference voltage, sets a second reference voltage which is to be substituted for the first reference voltage and lowers the output voltage based on the second reference voltage.
