SMALL-SIZED ANTENNA AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized antenna with a stable characteristic that can be mounted on an electronic device without the need for using a printed circuit board. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the small-sized antenna 28 includes a step of integrally forming an antenna element 12 comprising a ground plate 107 and a feeding section 12a, and a joint section 14 that joints them so as not to deviate the relation of positions of them through punching process from one metallic plate, a step of injection molding a dielectric body 26 to enclose part of the ground plate 10 and the antenna element 12 without embedding the feeding section 12a and the joint section 14, and a step of eliminating the joint section 14 projected at the outside of the formed dielectric body 26. The ground plate 10 can directly be fixed to a case of an electronic device or the like. The dielectric body 26 fixes the position relation between the ground plate 10 and the antenna element 12 so as to stabilize the characteristic of the antenna.
