摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor relay that can surely prevent an output main MOSFET from being damaged without increasing the size of a protection element. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor relay provided with a light emitting element 1 that emits an optical signal, a 1st light receiving element 2 that generates a photoelectromotive force by an optical signal of the light emitting element 1, an output main MOSFET 3 that receives the photoelectromotive force of the 1st light receiving element 2 and is conducted, a 2nd light receiving element 6 that generates a photoelectromotive force by the optical signal from the light emitting element 1, an output sub MOSFET 7 that receives the photoelectromotive force of the 2nd light receiving element 6 and conduction is delayed as compared with the output main MOSFET 3, a sensing resistor 13 through which a current flows in response to the conduction state of the output sub MOSFET 7, and a protection element 11 that is conductive through application of a voltage across the sensing resistor 13 between one terminal and the control terminal and whose terminals are connected to the gate and source of the output main MOSFET 3, a thyristor 11a is adopted for the protection element 11.
