PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more pleasantly utilize a memory function storing reception frequencies, in a receiver that receives a broadcast program of radio broadcasting or the like. SOLUTION: The receiver 1 of this invention uses the memory function to store a plurality of reception frequencies into a group memory section 4 and uses a PLL tuner section 5 to receive a broadcast program with a reception frequency designated by an operation by an entry section 8. The group memory section 4 stores a plurality of reception frequencies grouped into a plurality of groups, when the operation by the entry section 8 selects a group, a control section 2 displays memory contents in the selected group on a display section 9 and when the entry section 8 selects a prescribed reception frequency in the group, the control section 2 allows a PILL tuner section 5 to receive a broadcast program with the selected reception frequency.
