Use of aminophenol derivatives as thickeners in oil-based compositions, especially cosmetic compositions for depigmenting or bleaching the skin or hair

Aminophenol derivatives (I) are used as thickeners in compositions comprising an oil in a physiologically acceptable medium. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an anhydrous composition comprising an oil phase and an aminophenol derivative in a physiologically acceptable medium; and (2) a composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising an aqueous phase and an oil phase containing an aminophenol derivative in a physiologically acceptable medium.
