PURPOSE: A discharge valve assembly is provided to abrasion of a contacting surface of a discharge cover when a valve spring expands and contracts. CONSTITUTION: An assembly comprises a discharge cover(3) installed on a front end surface of a cylinder(2) in which a piston(1) reciprocates linearly; a discharge valve(4) attached on and separating from the front end surface of the cylinder to open and close a gap between the cylinder and the discharge cover; a valve spring(5), a compression coil spring, installed between the discharge valve and the discharge cover to elastically support the discharge valve; and a cover protecting member(10) interposed between the valve spring and an inside of the discharge valve corresponding with the valve spring to prevent abrasion of the discharge cover and the valve spring.
