PURPOSE: An integrated control device for control and simulation of an automated system and an operation method thereof are provided, which can make a processing scheme automatically by setting various scheduling regulations using production information inputted by a user as basic data. CONSTITUTION: According to the automated system where an integrated control device controlling an automation process of each automated device installed in each production line and also performing a simulation work corresponding to the above automation process is connected with the automated device through a communication line, the integrated control device includes a layout setting module(110) which generates and stores a number of layouts corresponding to a produced product and varies a layout according to a production information change, and a schedule scheme module(120) which generates information of the produced product in correspondence to the above layout generated in the layout setting module and generates a schedule scheme by inserting the information to a number of regulations established on the basis of the production information. And a control module(130) controls each automated device in the automation system and at the same time performs a simulation work as to a virtual equipment using the generated process control processor.
