PURPOSE: A turnout set down apparatus and a railway line construction method using the apparatus are provided to partially mechanize transportation and set down works of the turnout, thus improving efficiency of work and reducing labor and equipment costs. CONSTITUTION: The turnout set down apparatus comprises a body(10) provided with an engine, a hydraulic control device, a driving device, wheels(11), and an adjustment device(12) for each device; a pair of horizontal booms(20) installed to be extended or retracted from the both side ends of the body under the control of the hydraulic control device using the adjustment device; a pair of vertical booms(30) installed to be extended or retracted up and down from the ends of the horizontal booms under the control of the hydraulic control device using the adjustment device; and a pair of clamps(40) installed to the both lower ends of the body so as to be rotated by the manipulation of the adjustment device in order to clamp a rail(2) of a turnout(1).
