PURPOSE: A method of controlling color temperature of an LCD monitor is provided to adjust the color temperature of the screen of the monitor irrespective of analog or digital R/G/B video signals inputted from a main body. CONSTITUTION: When digital R/G/B signals are inputted(S10), R/G/B contrast gain values of a scaler are initially set(S20). The R/G contrast gain values are reduced to calculate readjusted R/G contrast gain values(S30). The calculated R/G contrast gain values are multiplied by the input digital R/G/B video signals(S40). The multiplied R/G/B video signals are detected to sequentially readjust the calculated R/G contrast gain values according as color coordinates of the detected signals exist within predetermined color coordinates(S50).
