PURPOSE: A light source device and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to separate electrode lines for supplying power, especially, a high voltage by a predetermined distance by coating with retraction tubes, thereby preventing the current leakage. CONSTITUTION: A light source device includes a light generating element for generating light, a power supply element for supplying power to the light generating element, a plurality of power supply lines(284a,284b,294a,294b) for electrically connecting the light generating element to the power supply element to supply the power to the light generating element, and leakage preventing elements(288,298) mounted to the plurality of power supply lines for preventing the leakage of power supplied to the light generating element, wherein the leakage preventing elements are coated to the power supply lines to separate the power supply lines from each other.
