PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an optical supporting device having excellent characteristics that prevents the outflow of a gelatinous elastic body controlling the damping of a metallic elastic body when filled, improves the workability and is sufficiently filled with the gelatinous elastic body. SOLUTION: This optical supporting device is provided with a lens holder 2 equipped with a lens 1, a fixing part material 4 arranged in a base 3 and metallic elastic part materials which support the lens holder 2 with its movement possible in the nearly vertical direction of a disk data storage medium and/or nearly in the direction of the radius of the disk data storage medium by fixing their one ends in the fixing part material 4 and linking their other ends with the lens holder 2. In addition, lids 9a and 9b which fit to the fixing part material 4 and form a first space area K1 fixing the one ends of the metallic elastic part materials 8a to 8d in the fixing part material via an adhesive and a second space area K2 which is adjacent to the first space area K1 , surrounds the metallic elastic part materials 8a to 8d along the direction of their length, and fills the gelatinous elastic body for damping are provided in this device, and an end face aperture h commanding the ends for holding the metallic elastic part materials 8a to 8d is formed in the first space area K1 , and a single aperture h1 opening only in the opposite direction of the end face aperture h is formed in the second space area K2 .
