PURPOSE: Provided are a resin composition and an optical lens prepared by using the composition, which are excellent in its refractive index, Abbe's number, transparency and optical uniformity and lightweight. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises 10-75 parts by weight of (meth)acrylate compound with the bisphenol A structure, represented by the formula 1; 1-70 parts by weight of the aliphatic polythiol compound represented by the formula 2; 1-40 parts by weight of (meth)acrylate compound containing sulfur, represented by the formula 3; and 1-45 parts by weight of (meth)acrylate compound with the aliphatic or alicyclic group, represented by the formula 4. In the formula 1, R1 and R2 are H or CH3; m and n are an integer of 0-4 and m+n is 0-8; and Y is H or OH. In the formula 2, R is S or C; R3 and R4 are selected from CH2SH, CH2CH2SH, COOCH2SH or COOCH2CH2SH; and R5 and R6 are CH2SH if R is C, and are absent if R is S. In the formulas 3 and 4, X is an aliphatic or alicyclic group; and Y is H or CH3. The optical lens is prepared by polymerizing and curing the composition.
