PURPOSE: Driving structure of a cooling fan by using a variable pulley is provided to improve cooling efficiency by varying the diameter of the pulley according to temperature of air in a radiator. CONSTITUTION: A driving system of a cooling fan is composed of a variable pulley(30) dividing into a first member(31) and a second member(32), and having grooves(33,34), an assembling groove(35) and an assembling protrusion(36); an actuator(38) inserted to grooves out of first and second members, and expanded and contracted according to temperature of air in the radiator; a belt(50) connecting the variable pulley and the outer diameter of a driving pulley; and an auto-tensioner adjusting the tension of the belt automatically according to the full diameter of the pulley. Cooling efficiency is improved with varying the outer diameter of the variable pulley, and endurance of the belt is improved with reducing friction between the belt and the pulley.
