PURPOSE: A drying mode switching type drying device of a drum type washing machine is provided to alternatively mount a condensation duct or an air discharging duct to dry clothing in different manners. CONSTITUTION: A drying mode switching type drying device of a drum type washing machine includes a tub(1) for receiving clothing containing water, a drying duct(2) for supplying drying air into the tub, a condensation duct(6) for feeding back the humid air discharged out of the tub into the tub via the drying duct after dehumidifying, and a discharge duct(8) mounted instead of the condensation duct dash for preventing the humid air discharged out of the tub from being fed back to the tub.
