The invention provides a recombinant mammalian protein modified to eliminate or reduce by at least about 80 % the activation of at least one T-cell clone derived from a mammal with antibody against the wild-type protein, with respect to activation by the wild-type protein, the said recombinant protein having at specific activity higher than 0.1. The recombinant protein is useful for making a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of a disease induced by a lack or a dysfunction of a human protein such as hemophilia.
