PURPOSE: A process cartridge, an electro-photographic apparatus, and an image-forming method are provided to remove difficulties in changing the process cartridge, prevent rise of the cost, improve conveying ability and durability of an intermediate transfer belt, and improve image quality and transfer ability. CONSTITUTION: A process cartridge detachably mounted on the main body of an electro-photographic apparatus cartridge comprises an electro-photographic photosensitive member(1) for holding a toner image thereon; an intermediate transfer belt(5) with a contact zone contacting with the electro-photographic photosensitive member; a primary-transfer unit(6) for primarily transferring the toner image from the electro-photographic photosensitive member to the intermediate transfer belt at the contact zone; a charge-providing unit(9) for providing the toner on the intermediate transfer belt and returning the toner on the intermediate transfer belt to the electro-photographic photosensitive member at the contact zone; and an electro-photographic-photosensitive-member cleaning unit(13) for cleaning the electro-photographic photosensitive member. The process cartridge is dividable into an electro-photographic photosensitive member unit having the electro-photographic photosensitive member and an intermediate transfer belt unit having the intermediate transfer belt, and having a joining unit joining the electro-photographic photosensitive member unit and the intermediate transfer belt unit together.
