A BLOOD FLOW MEASURING APPARATUS

A blood flow measuring apparatus comprises a measuring electrode (8) and a counter electrode (12) intended to be brought into contact with the blood of a patient. A measuring unit is adapted to measure the voltage or current between the electrodes to determine therefrom the flow of blood. The measuring electrode (8) is ring-shaped and sized to fit within a blood vessel within the patient's body. An inner surface of the ring-shaped electrode is adapted to form an active measuring electrode surface. A pacemaker is provided with such a measuring apparatus.
