A front bonnet has positioning elements, e.g. a stop (10), to define normal bonnet closed position and lower the bonnet during a crash. The stop is located on a frame-sided carrier part (9) with two joints (2,3), and acts with one guide rod (7). The stop is dimensioned to fail when charged by a pre-set vertical load applied onto the bonnet from above. The stop has an arm (11) projecting from the carrier part with a stop element (12) on the front end, which acts with the associated guide rod. Stop adjusting parts (14) allow for adjustment of the bonnet closed position.
