PURPOSE: A decelerating apparatus for a distance control system of a vehicle is provided to improve the reliability of operation by forming the hydraulic circuit of a hydraulic decelerator mechanically between a master cylinder and a brake cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A decelerating device of a distance control system is composed of a pressure oil generating part(50) installed between a master cylinder(100) and brake cylinders(110,111,112,113) to apply pressure oil to the brake cylinder according to signals from an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(150); and a pressure oil distributing block(10) installed between the pressure oil generating part and the master cylinder to distribute oil to the brake cylinder. A moving spool(20) is moved in a distributing chamber(14) by supplying oil to a pressure chamber(12), and wheels are decelerated by applying oil to a disk cylinder. A check valve(30) is opened by supplying pressure oil from the master cylinder to the distributing chamber in suddenly braking, and pressure oil is applied to the disk cylinder with connecting ports of master and disk cylinders.
