PURPOSE: A knee protecting apparatus for a vehicle is provided to protect occupants of the vehicle from being damaged and to improve the productivity and reduce the manufacturing cost by simplifying manufacturing processes thereof. CONSTITUTION: A knee protecting apparatus includes a plastic cover(11) formed with a plurality of ribs(11a), which are arranged in equidistance. A crush bracket(12) is coupled to a cowl cross member and a center support bracket of an instrument panel by using a bolt. The crush bracket(12) is provided with a rib member(12a). The rib member(12a) is broken when an external impact is applied to a knee of the occupant of the vehicle. The plastic cover(11), the rib member(12a) and the crush bracket(12) are made of PC/ABS resin and have thickness of 3.0, 3.5, and 3.0mm, respectively.
