The dog clutch has a spring (5) to apply tension to the sliding clutch section (3) when in the open position. A sleeve (6) is pushed by a ball (14), bonded to a second sleeve (7) in a positive fit, for a pressure zone (18) to hold the sliding section in the open position. To close the clutch, the pressure is lowered in the pressure line (10), and the sleeve releases the ball for the spring reassertion to act on the sliding section to move it in the closing direction.
