<p>Container for pre-use mixing comprises a flexible walled vessel (1) having a peel tab (8), a liquid (6) such as a drink, juice, milk, gastrolytes or chemical, and one or more drinking straw shaped pockets (3) within the vessel. Each pocket may be divided into compartments that contain an additive (7), and has a line of weakness (5) which is rupturable to release the additive into the liquid. To rupture of the pocket(s) requires the vessel to be manipulated by squeezing to cause a top area of the vessel to buckle and to bear down on the line of weakness. The additive can be packaged under vacuum or surrounded by an inert gas such as nitrogen. A part of the container and/or pocket is transparent or translucent. The additive(s) may be a mixture of powder, granules, grains, tablets, capsules, salts, vitamins, freeze dried consumable bacteria, probiotic culture or liquids.</p> |
